Stan Collymore predicts Liverpool v Burnley
By Danny Wright
Former Liverpool attacker Stan Collymore believes that his old side will continue their domination of Burnley and recapture their form by winning at Anfield on Saturday.
The outspoken pundit has predicted that Jurgen Klopp will lead his side to a 3-1 victory over the Clarets to put to bed the memories of last week’s embarrassing 5-0 loss at Manchester City.
Ex-England international Collymore posted his predictions on his personal Twitter account on Saturday morning.
Liverpool could make a considerable jump up the Premier League standings if Collymore’s prediction of their result comes to fruition on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds will be without Sadio Mane following his controversial red card at the Etihad last week when his side were easily beaten by one of the main title contenders.
Burnley are currently above Liverpool in the Premier League table with a better goal difference thanks to picking up two wins in their first four fixtures against Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
The August signing of Chris Wood appears to have done wonders for Sean Dyche’s side with the ex-Leeds man scoring in last week’s 1-0 win over Palace, who sacked Frank de Boer due to the result.
Liverpool have a very convincing home record against Burnley and will no doubt be comforted in the knowledge that the Lanchashire side have not won at Anfield since 1974 when the two clubs met in the old Division One.
In other Liverpool news, Klopp has raved about these two young guns.
