Stan Collymore reacts on Twitter to Rangers-Warburton drama

By Harvey Byrne

Stan Collymore appeared to be in a buoyant mood on Friday evening after Rangers were involved in drama off the field regarding manager Mark Warburton.

The Ibrox giants released a club statement on their official website alongside a message on Twitter sharing that Warburton had resigned from the club alongside David Weir and Frank McParland.

However, the BBC have reported that Warburton himself has denied that he has stepped down and that he is unaware of any statement as well as stating he will now consult his legal team.

Now, this all brought an outburst from pundit Collymore, who  appeared to show his colours as a Celtic fan with a string of posts on his personal Twitter account about it all.

The outspoken former TalkSPORT host started off with an image of a magic hat, referring to the song sung by Rangers fans about Warburton.

He then proceeded with a response to a post from 2016 which shared that Warburton had signed a new contract alongside him being sacked on the same day.

The former Liverpool man then found out that Warburton was unaware of the resignation and stated in a post “the gift that keeps on giving” before posting that he sacked his gardener who was off to become a football manager as well as a laughing GIF with clover emojis.

Those associated with Celtic have taken great delight from the whole fiasco, but Rangers fans will be hoping this is not the return of another dark cloud over the club after only recently making back in to the Premiership.
