Stefan Borson: Arsenal are well placed to smash club record
Arsenal are well placed to smash their club-record revenue again following their strong performances this season.
That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider the Gunners’ wage bill is also expected to increase significantly.
Arsenal published their latest accounts on 25 February, showing their revenue surged from £616million in 2023-24 to £691m last season, marking a new club record.
Meanwhile, the wage bill at the Emirates Stadium increased from £328m to £347m across the same period.

Arsenal have been making efforts to improve their commercial revenue in recent years, with their income in that department rising from £222m in 2023-24 to £264m last season.
Elsewhere, matchday revenue at the Emirates surged from £132m to £154m, while broadcast increased from £262m to £273m.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson discussed how Arsenal’s accounts will change this season following their latest numbers.
“I think they’re a strong set of results,” said Borson.
“I don’t think there’s any question about that. They’re going to get better this season in terms of if everything pans out in the way that it appears because, of course, they’re sat at the top of every table that they’re in and they’re in every competition.

“The chances are that this season they’re going to smash £700m at the top line. I think they’re going to almost certainly break £400m on the wages, getting much closer to City and Liverpool.”
How Arsenal could claim record-breaking quadruple
Arsenal currently sit five points clear of Man City at the top of the Premier League table, but Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand.
The Gunners secured their place in the last 16 of the Champions League after finishing top of the league phase, with Bayer Leverkusen standing in their way of a quarter-final place.

Meanwhile, the London giants are set to face Man City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley later this month.
There is a chance Arsenal could even claim the quadruple, with Arteta’s side taking on Mansfield in the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday (7 March).
