Stefan Borson drops Tottenham spending power update ahead of January transfer window
Tottenham have endured a poor run of form under new manager Thomas Frank in recent weeks.
Frank joined Tottenham from Brentford in June to replace Ange Postecoglou, who was sacked after finishing 17th place in the Premier League last season.
Despite going five games without a victory, Frank isn’t in immediate danger of being sacked by Spurs.
Football Insider revealed on 25 November Tottenham are planning to sign a striker in January as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

Tottenham have ‘plenty of capacity’ to agree deals
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Tottenham have “plenty of capacity” to agree new signings in January.
Spurs spent more than £180million on new additions in the summer transfer window after securing eight new additions.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “They’ll have plenty of capacity. They’ve done okay in the Champions League. They still have got a good shot of reaching the second phase. Champions League is very lucrative.
“They’ve got loads of capacity still on the old PSR. They’ll have loads of capacity on the new SCR. I think they probably would have spent more in the summer if they could have done.
“I think maybe they left it too late or the deal that they felt they had with Savinho at City didn’t happen.”

Savinho came close to joining Tottenham from Man City before eventually signing a new contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Tottenham could face striker issue in January transfer window
It is understood Tottenham are looking to offload Richarlison as they ramp up their pursuit of a new striker ahead of the January transfer window.
“They’re certainly in a position to spend if they wanted to,” said Borson.
“Whether they will or not is obviously more complicated, but yes they can. This is the first window post-Levy, and I think part of the whole Levy situation is to give them more leeway in the market to increase the overall spend.

“Basically, increase the wage spend, increase the transfer spend, and take it from there. It wouldn’t surprise me, but of course, finding a striker in January is not exactly straightforward.”
Tottenham currently sit 11th in the Premier League after slipping down the table in recent weeks.
