Stefan Borson suggests Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson deal with Bayern could now collapse
Chelsea managed to temporarily offload Nicolas Jackson in the summer transfer window after he joined Bayern Munich on loan.
Bayern Munich agreed to pay a £14.3million loan fee for Jackson, with a £56.2m obligation-to-buy clause included in the deal depending on appearances.
The Bundesliga giants’ honorary chief Uli Hoeness revealed Jackson’s switch would “never become permanent” due to the amount of games he has to play this season.
However, recruitment expert Mick Brown told Football Insider Bayern Munich will open talks about a cut-price deal to sign Jackson from Chelsea.

Chelsea need to agree player sales after Uefa breach
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Enzo Maresca’s side will be willing to renegotiate the price of Jackson‘s deal because they will need to sell players next summer.
Jackson has hinted at wanting to join Bayern Munich permanently after confessing he feels “at home” and is “very happy” after leaving Stamford Bridge.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “I don’t believe that Bayern Munich will definitely buy the player, certainly not at the very high fee that’s been agreed.
“I think if they do buy him, I think there’s likely to be a renegotiation. It’s very clear that Chelsea will need to sell again this summer because of the way their settlement with Uefa works, if nothing else.
“They will need to show profitable dealings for the settlement agreement with Uefa so that they can register new players next season on the A-list, so there’s going to be some dealing going on. I think that’s clear.”

Uefa confirmed in July Chelsea have been fined £26.7m and could be fined a further £51.2m if they don’t comply with the governing body’s financial rules in the next four years.
Chelsea must increase profits to avoid Uefa punishment
Meanwhile, player sales will continue to be necessary after Chelsea’s sponsorship issues have left a significant hole in their accounts.
Borson said: “Chelsea need to be showing regular profits from player trading because they have an issue with the profitability of the group right now. Things like they still have not got this front-of-shirt sponsor, so they’re commercially still down.
“We don’t know where they’re going to finish in the league, but that could be worse than expected as well. They’re still going to show a very big wage bill, for example, so they’re going to want to show profits.”
Chelsea spent around £297m on new signings in the recent summer transfer window, while they made £314m from player sales.
