Stefan Borson: This is how much Arsenal could earn after sponsor deal agreed
Arsenal will play with a new sleeve sponsor on their shirts for the first time in eight years next season.
Visit Rwanda has been Arsenal’s sleeve sponsor since 2018, but it has been a highly controversial deal among the club’s supporters.
Arsenal held talks about extending their partnership with Visit Rwanda before confirming last month the two parties had “mutually agreed to conclude their partnership” when it expires at the end of this season.
There have been suggestions Arsenal hijacked Chelsea’s sponsorship talks with Deel, but it is understood that isn’t the case.
The American payroll and HR company has agreed to become the Gunners’ sleeve sponsor from the start of next season.

Arsenal set to land £10m annual windfall
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider the agreement with Deel is likely to be worth around £10m a year to Arsenal.
That is the same figure Visit Rwanda is believed to have been paying Mikel Arteta’s side since the two parties agreed an extension in 2021.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the value of the Deel sleeve partnership, Borson said: “It’s probably about £10m a season. The sleeve is not a bad proposition, but it’s obviously secondary, and you don’t know what else is wrapped up in that package of rights and inventory.
“How many boxes do they get? What access do they get to the players for promotional stuff? What advertising package have they got on the perimeter? All of this collateral has a value, and inventory has a value.

“They add it all up and, obviously if a company wants five boxes rather than one, then they’ll pay more.
“If they want lots more advertising space, they want lots more engagement from the players for promotional stuff around the world, all of these things have a value.”
How much commercial revenue do Arsenal generate?
Arsenal have been making efforts to boost their commercial revenue in recent years at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners’ latest published accounts for 2023-24 revealed their commercial income increased from £169m in 2022-23 to £218m.
That helped Arsenal generated the third-highest revenue in the Premier League in 2023-24, with their turnover surging from £467m to £617m.
Arteta’s side currently sit top of the Premier League table following their strong performances in the opening half of the campaign.
