Steve Clarke has ‘lost his mind’ after Rangers player decision – fans react

Scotland fans are fuming with Steve Clarke after Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack was named in the provisional squad ahead of the European Championships.

Jack, 32, has struggled with injury issues this season and hasn’t appeared in a league game under Philippe Clement since a win over Livingston in February, and hasn’t featured at all since March.

The midfielder, who is out of contract at Ibrox at the end of the season, sustained an injury during the trip to face Benfica – although the Scotland boss insists he is fit again.

His inclusion in the squad came while the likes of Celtic’s James Forrest and highly-rated Aberdeen midfielder Connor Barron were left out.

Following Jack’s injury, many fans at Ibrox questioned whether he would play for the club again given his contract situation.

The 28-man Scotland squad will be trimmed to 26 before the tournament begins, with the possibility remaining that Jack will be one to drop out given his issues.

Fans questioned whether Clarke has “lost his mind”, while others stated Jack’s inclusion in the squad calls the manager’s ability into question.
