Steve Cooper sacked? Keith Wyness shares Leicester ‘dressing room’ verdict
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness believes that Leicester City boss Steve Cooper’s position at the club is safe at the moment.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – revealed that Leicester are in a stronger position than Wolves at the moment.
The Foxes have had a difficult start to life back in the Premier League after failing to win their opening six fixtures.
However, Cooper’s side picked up their first three points of the season last weekend by defeating Bournemouth 1-0.
Steve Cooper is seen as the ‘right fit’ for Leicester City
Wyness told Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast his thoughts on Cooper potentially being sacked: “I don’t think he’s at that stage yet.
“I do believe he’s the right fit for Leicester, I said this at the start of the season, and I think it’s showing now that he’s going to settle down and go forward.
“Unlike Wolves, Leicester have been much closer in a number of their games to getting a result.
“Cooper’s got the dressing room on his side and things are going to go forward.

“They’re going to be okay Leicester, everybody’s got to settle down with that one.
“I don’t see them quite in the crosshairs to the extent that Wolves are.”
