Stuart Pearce: There is no doubt this Tottenham star is world-class
By Harvey Byrne
Stuart Pearce has hailed Tottenham star left-back Danny Rose as world-class in the build-up to England’s matches at the end of the month.
The 26-year-old full-back has been a shining light for the north London club this season with a return of two goals and four assists from 21 matches in all competitions this season.
Rose and teammate Kyle Walker have been lavished with praise throughout the season with many believing them both to be among the best players in England
Now, Pearce, who managed the England Under-21s as Rose was emerging has singled out the player as a huge miss for the Three Lions’ upcoming international encounters due to injury, while also hailing him alongside the world’s best.
“I think there’s some big misses as well,” started Pearce on Thursday morning’s Premier League Daily Show on Sky Sports News.
“Danny Rose, I think has turned into a world-class left-back, no doubt. He’ll be a massive miss.”
Rose has been at Tottenham for 10 years after joining for a fee of just £1million from Leeds in 2007 at the age of 16.
He has went on to play a total of 144 matches for Spurs, bringing a return of 10 goals and 21 assists and has been a star as the club progresses up the Premier League table.
With 11 matches of the season left fans will now be hoping Rose can make a quick recovery from his current injury as they look to achieve a second placed finish.
