Former Leeds manager Simon Grayson is looking to raid his old side by luring goalkeeper Rob Green to Sunderland this summer after a strong 2016-17 campaign between the sticks.

The Sunderland Echo claims the Black Cats are interested in signing the 37-year-old, after the former England international kept 15 clean sheets in 46 Championship outings.

It is said that Grayson is looking to sign a goalkeeper that has plenty of experience and ex-West Ham and Norwich stopper Green ticks all the boxes.

Leeds have already signed a new goalkeeper this season in German ace Felix Wiedwald from Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen, but may be forced into signing another if Green leaves.
