TalkSport Super Computer predicts Leeds end of season finish
By Harvey Byrne
A ‘Super Computer’ tasked with the job of predicting the end of season Championship standings has tipped Leeds to finish sixth in the table this season.
TalkSport have run their prediction machine in the hope of discovering who will finish where in England’s second tier this campaign.
The computer has predicted Garry Monk’s outfit will finish in the play-offs in sixth place.
If the prediction proves true then it will mark Leeds’ highest end of season placing since they finished in fifth place in 2006.
It has tipped Aston Villa, Reading, Derby, Newcastle and Brighton all to finish above the famous Yorkshire club.
However, fans will be overjoyed with a play-off placing after several years of disappointment, which has included a three year spell in England’s third tier.
It will also see a big rise from their last campaign under former boss Steve Evans, where they finished in a solid 13th place.
Leeds are going into the Christmas period in a good run of form with three victories from their last four matches, which has seen them occupy fifth place in the league table.
They will be keen to ease through the demanding Championship schedule unscathed, but they do have difficult trips to Aston Villa and Preston scheduled in the next 10 days.
Monk has started his Leeds career in fantastic form and summer signings Luke Ayling, Kyle Bartley and Pontus Jansson have been key to the club’s high placing.
In other Leeds news, 25-year-old has made the EFL team of the week.
