Tariq Lamptey: Insider claims Tottenham could start work on signing Brighton star next week
Tottenham duo Fabio Paratici and Steve Hitchen could start work on signing Tariq Lamptey as early as next week.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham were hunting for a new right wing-back in January as they saw a move for Adama Traore hijacked by Barcelona.

Lamptey, 21, has been a standout player for Brighton since he joined the club in January 2020.
Wenham claims Lamptey could be Tottenham’s star man for the next decade and insisted it’s a “realistic” deal,
“Paratici, Hitchen, whoever, they deserve a week off for the work they have done in January,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“But from next week, let’s start laying the foundations for the summer now.
“Let’s get on the phone to Brighton and start talking about Tariq Lamptey. He’s the player we need to target.
“He could be our right wing-back for the next decade. He’s young enough and athletically he’s brilliant.
“He bombs down the wing non-stop, Conte would love him. I see this as a more realistic signing because Brighton have shown they will sanction these kinds of deals.
“Just look at Ben White last summer, he was their prize asset but when the right deal came along it was accepted.

“These are the kinds of deals I want us to be working on for the summer.
“Let’s get some deals done early this time.”
