Teenager starts ahead of Coutinho in Klopp 4-3-3: Liverpool best possible XI v Everton

COMMENT by Amir Mir

Liverpool should make two changes to their starting line-up when they take on Everton on Saturday afternoon at Anfield.

The Reds picked up a point during their last Premier League fixture against Manchester City as they now prepare for another crucial match.

Jurgen Klopp should start teenager Ben Woodburn ahead of the out-of-sorts Philippe Coutinho with Jordan Henderson coming in for Adam Lallana in the other change.

Playmaker Coutinho simply has not been good enough during these past few months and needs dropping to the bench.

As a result, Woodburn, 17, should start up front for the home team as the academy product would add that extra bite and energy to the final third.

The powerful Sadio Mane must keep his place on the right wing, with Roberto Firmino expected to provide the creativity and threat from the left.

In the middle of the park, the trio of Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Emre Can should start as they must provide that aggressiveness and steel to the side.

Klopp should not make any changes to his defensive line because he needs to add consistency to his team if he wants his defence to improve.

Therefore, the quartet of James Milner, Ragnar Klavan, Joel Matip and Nathaniel Clyne should keep their places from the last match.

Finally, despite the goalkeeping department being one of the club’s weakest areas, Simon Mignolet is no doubt a much better option than Loris Karius between the sticks so he must start against the Toffees.

In other Liverpool news, the club have opened talks with this defender.
