The sort of game that all but guarantees that you win the league title, as the Hoops ground out victory in a match which was the definition of ‘winning ugly’.
The Hoops struggled for much of the game to create chances against the league’s bottom of the table side, but Leigh Griffiths had other ideas.
The substitute came off the bench and curled home an unstoppable free-kick in the 78th minute, which gave the Hoops all three points and was a right kick in the teeth to the Hoops’ title rivals.
