Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to hail Harry Kane after a journalist who covers the club full-time claimed he is in the matchday squad for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Chelsea.
Football London correspondent Alasdair Gold reported on his personal Twitter account on Saturday evening that Kane will return just three weeks after suffering ankle ligament damage as he he hailed the player’s powers of recovery.
The England international broke down in the first half of Tottenham’s 4-1 win at Bournemouth last month and subsequently missed the FA Cup triumph at Swansea City as well as the international friendlies against Italy and Holland.
Kane has had an outstanding season for Spurs, scoring 35 goals from 39 matches in all competitions, and his 24 league goals are second only to Mohamed Salah’s extraordinary haul of 29.
Fans of the north Londoners paid tribute to the miracle man ahead of the clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, which kicks off at 4pm.
