First on the list is a one-season wonder, but there will no doubt have been a feeling of what could have been regarding Loic Remy.
A failed transfer pursuit saw him choose to join Queens Park Rangers instead of Newcastle but following the London side’s relegation, he eventually made the move up north on a season-long loan.
A lightning start to his Magpies career, with five goals in as many games, was followed by peaks and troughs of his goal scoring ability, while injury also disrupted his playing time.
Newcastle would have certainly been interested in turning his loan into a permanent move, but he opted to remain in London and join Chelsea, ending his brief, but successful, time on Tyneside.
