‘The John Stones heir’ – Man City fans blown away as loanee’s full stats emerge after latest display
Manchester City fans were left impressed by Vitor Reis’ display for Girona in their La Liga win over Barcelona.
The 20-year-old defender is on loan at the Spanish club for the campaign to continue his development after only making four appearances for Man City last season.
Reis has started 22 matches for Girona this season, including the full 90 minutes in their 2-1 victory over Barcelona, to move up to 12th in the table.
The Brazilian joined Man City from Palmeiras in January 2025 in a deal worth nearly £30million, and supporters believe he should play a greater role at the club next season.

Vitor Reis is ‘heir to John Stones’
With John Stones out of contract at the end of the season, Pep Guardiola may want to reinforce his defensive options in the summer.
Stones has only managed to start four games for Guardiola’s side this season due to injury, whilst fellow centre-back Josko Gvardiol is currently also on the sidelines.
Man City fans believe Reis should “come home” following his display against Barcelona, with his full stats showing that he had an excellent game.
Reis had the highest pass accuracy of any player, made 10 clearances, five headed clearances and won four ground duels as second-placed Barcelona failed to move above Real Madrid in the table.
Man City plot move for Nottingham Forest star
Guardiola could bolster his midfield options in the summer transfer window, with Bernardo Silva out of contract at the end of the season.
Man City could pursue Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White, who could be able to leave the City Ground if a fee of over £60m is received.
Gibbs-White signed a new long-term deal at Nottingham Forest last summer, after the midfielder nearly moved to Premier League rivals Tottenham.

The 26-year-old wants to play Champions League football, and Nottingham Forest have been unable to build on their qualification to the Europa League last season.
The Tricky Trees are currently on their fourth manager of the campaign, but Gibbs-White has been a constant starter throughout.
Gibbs-White is the club’s top goalscorer in the Premier League this season with six goals and he has registered two assists.
