The tension was unbearable at Celtic Park as the Hoops – managed by Wim Jansen – looked to win their first title in a decade and prevent Rangers from making it ’10 in a row’.
The Hoops took the lead early on through Henrik Larsson, but the tension kept building and only came to an end when Harald Brattbakk’s second-half strike sealed the victory.
The celebrations at the end of the game were wild as a generation of Hoops fans celebrated the first title win that they had ever seen.
