A game unfairly forgotten about, as a television strike prevented highlights of the game being broadcasted, which meant few people got to see Billy McNeill’s side win the title in his first season as manager.
For those who saw the game live though, it has to go down as one of the best in Hoops history, as a 10 man Bhoys side, inspired by Roy Aitken, roared to a 4-2 victory which clinched the league title.
The Hoops had once again shown that when it comes to winning the title, they will never give up.
