Everton plot multiple Arsenal signings – ‘they’re looking at all sorts of interesting deals’

Everton could move to sign Arsenal stars in the final weeks of the transfer window as a signing spree is on the cards.

David Moyes’s side have now firmly kicked into gear after concerns had been expressed about their lack of business.

Everton have agreed a deal to sign Jack Grealish on a season-long loan deal from Manchester City despite interest from several rival clubs.

The deal includes the option to buy the 29-year-old, who is believed to be on around £300,000 a week, for £50million next summer.

Everton have already signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Thierno Barry, Carlos Alcaraz, Adam Aznou and Mark Travers this summer, taking their spending to around £75million.

The Toffees are in the market for more signings, with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United all looking to move on some of their fringe players before the window closes on 1 September.

Everton in talks to agree multiple signings

This article contains exclusive comment from Stefan Borson, a former financial adviser to Man City.

Everton have seen multiple players leave the club following the expiration of their contracts, increasing the need for more new arrivals at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “We talked about it a few weeks ago that they needed to have a £100million summer.

“I think that feels about right. I mean, Dewsbury-Hall looks like a solid signing. It’s a modest fee. It feels about right for a player that’s a good, solid Premier League signing. Definitely you can’t go far wrong with him, so that’s good that they’ve got him.

“I think they’ll end up spending about £100million in total, including loans. I think there’ll be a lot of deals.

“Everton are one of those teams that are going to be for the next few weeks looking at all of the players that the big clubs want rid of and want off their wage bills.

“They are going to be looking to do loans all over the place. They are going be looking to do all sorts of interesting short-term deals.

“If they play it right they’ll end up with two or three players who have been worth a lot of money in the past but have for whatever reason become less interesting at their main club.

“I think you could well imagine that they would look at players like Zinchenko from Arsenal or some of the other Arsenal reserves.

“From City, there are a number of players that they could look at that potentially could be available. The same from United.

“I’m sure they’re having lots of conversations like that to look at short-term deals, and then where they can to pick up some players on a more of a long-term basis.”

Everton plan move to sign Norwich star

In terms of another potential incoming, Football Insider revealed on 9 August Everton are plotting a move for Kellen Fisher following his performances for Norwich City.

The 21-year-old registered four assists in 41 appearances for the Canaries last season and is now on the radar of a Toffees side in the midst of a full-scale overhaul under Moyes.

Fisher is capable of playing at left-back and in central midfield, but he is most comfortable at right-back.
