Thierno Barry flops, 24-yr-old is awful – Everton’s three losers vs Fulham

Everton dominated Fulham in a 2-0 victory as David Moyes oversaw a confident win.

Prior to the match, attention had been on Everton’s struggles up top this season with both Thierno Barry and Beto failing to make an impact.

The Frenchman was given the nod once again ahead of the former Udinese man, despite Barry missing a sitter against Sunderland on 3 November.

Moyes will still be frustrated with the ex-Villarreal man despite the win as Football Insider reviews the losers against Fulham.

Thierno Barry

The 23-year-old once again struggled in an Everton shirt as he went another match without a goal.

Barry hasn’t scored his first goal for the Toffees since joining over the summer, missing one big chance and having a strike ruled out for offside.

Moyes must be scratching his head to work out how to get the best out of his strikers who continue to be unable to hit the back of the net.

James Garner

The former Man United academy graduate, 24, filled in at right-back today with Jake O’Brien rooted to the bench.

James Garner struggled in an unfamiliar defensive role, winning just two of his six duels and being dribbled past on two separate occasions.

Jake O’Brien

Given the average performance from Everton’s number 37, O’Brien would’ve been frustrated by having to sit out the clash against the Cottagers.

The Ireland international had adapted to his new right-back role under Moyes, yet it was bizarre that we wasn’t trusted from the get-go.

The 24-year-old will be hoping this was only a tactical decision by his manager and that he will be restored to the starting XI in the Toffees’ next Premier League game against Man United.
