Thomas Frank told in demand midfielder would take Spurs to next level, it could be bad news for Archie Gray
Thomas Frank has started his Tottenham career well but midfield upgrades in the upcoming windows could be key to the club making even better progress.
Sources told Football Insider that Yves Bissouma wants to quit Tottenham after falling out with Frank and being left out of the squad.
This comes after Football Insider exclusively revealed that Conor Gallagher could leave Atletico Madrid in January amid interest from Tottenham.
The midfield is one of the areas the Dane is continuing to tinker with to improve the Lilywhites’ chances with Liverpool target and Crystal Palace star Adam Wharton tipped for a move to north London.

David Bentley urges Thomas Frank to beat Real Madrid to Adam Wharton
Speaking on talkSPORT (23 September) former Spurs midfielder David Bentley highlighted his fondness of Wharton as an excellent addition to Frank’s midfield.
The 21-year-old is on the radar of several big clubs across Europe yet the ex-Blackburn Rovers man believes the Lilywhites must move fast to sign him.
Bentley said: “Thomas Frank, I think he has a [strong] squad. Defensively looks strong.
“I think in the midfield I like maybe the boy at Crystal Palace [Wharton], you know, the left-footed boy. Somebody like that that could sit in front and just dictate games.
“You got [Archie] Gray, he looks comfortable on the ball, but you’re looking I think, he’s [Wharton] being touted by Real Madrid sort of.
“If you can nip in and get a player like that that sort of advances you on.”
Potential bad news for Archie Gray
The Lilywhites signed Gray from Leeds United in the summer of 2024 and it has been an up and down start to life in north London for the youngster.
The number 14 was thrown in at the deep end during an injury-ravaged season for Ange Postecoglou’s squad, demanding that he adapted quickly.
Often, youth players are given more time to break into the starting XI but both the young Englishman and Lucas Bergvall have seen extensive minutes.

The Swede has risen to the challenge and excelled whilst Gray has struggled which suggests Tottenham may think about moving him on in the near future.
Wharton is only two years older than the Spurs defender yet has already shown an immense amount of promise by becoming a dependable asset for the Eagles.
The arrival of the 21-year-old would surely signal an end to the Leeds academy graduate’s career in north London as Frank opts to put his trust in another youth talent.
