Bosnian centre-back Simunovic has only just returned from injury but was shown up badly by PSG’s record-breaking front three of Neymar, Cavani and Mbappe.
Paired with Mikael Lustig in central defence, 23-year-old Simunovic gifted PSG their third goal with the utterly baffling decision to haul down Edinson Cavani in the box as they both chased a cross into Celtic’s penalty box.
Lucky not to be sent-off for his moment of madness, Simunovic looked lost throughout the PSG game and should be replaced for the visit of Ross County.
Rodgers could return to the three-man defence he used against Hamilton and use Kieran Tierney, Mikael Lustig and Kris Ajer or could stick with the flat back four and re-introduce Nir Bitton.
He has options available County’s visit and, after last night, Simunovic shouldn’t be one of them.
