Three Celtic players tipped to follow Ange Postecoglou out the door – pundit
Celtic fans don’t have to worry about Ange Postecoglou poaching their best players.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Rangers and Tottenham defender Alan Hutton said Spurs need a different kind of player to what is on offer at Parkhead and he would be surprised if Postecoglou takes players with him across the border.
Spurs confirmed the appointment of Postecoglou as their new head coach as the London club look to rebuild after a disappointing season.
Several members of the current Hoops squad have previously been linked with Premier League moves, the likes of Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley.
Most recently, Football Insider revealed (7 June) that Nottingham Forest are interested in Kyogo Furuhashi, alongside long-standing admirers Crystal Palace and fellow Premier League side Bournemouth.
But Hutton insisted the fans do not need to worry.
“I have read things about Kyogo, I really think Hatate has had an excellent season, there has been rumours about O’Riley moving,” he told Football Insider
“I think it would be a wrong move if he was to go and sign them.
“There are some fans that are not sure about the appointment because of where he has come from and what he has done in the past.
“So, if you start bringing down Celtic players, and that is no disrespect to any of them, people would be saying what is going on here because they are looking at a different level of player.

“This is a football team that is chasing Champions League in the toughest league in the world.
“Yes there could be eyes on them for different clubs down south. But I would be surprised if Ange signs and gets a couple of players to join him.“
