Three decisions Allard Lindhout got wrong in Rangers’ draw vs Braga
Rangers drew 1-1 with Braga in the Europa League on 27 November in a nervy game as Danny Rohl failed to end their winless run in the competition.
Prior to the match, intense focus was on owner Andrew Cavenagh after he sacked both Patrick Stewart and Kevin Thelwell from the Rangers board.
The change within the hierarchy highlights the continued disarray within the club, made even worse by Celtic’s latest financial dominance in comparison to Rangers.
Rohl was looking to move focus away from the leadership in the Glaswegian club to returning attention to the pitch as Football Insider reviews the decisions Allard Lindhout got wrong.

Youssef Chermiti furious with decision that he committed a foul
In a tetchy first half, the Ibrox faithful were up in arms when Youssef Chermiti was adjudged to have committed a foul in the 15th minute.
The Portuguese chased a loose ball down the line with Lindhout blowing his whistle when he believed Gustaf Lagerbielke was taken down.
Yet, replays showed the centre-back falling to the ground with hardly any contact from the ex-Everton forward, enraging his Rangers teammates.

What was even more bizarre was that the linesman was right next to the action, but still sided with the referee.
Djeidi Gassama unfortunate to not draw an early yellow card from Braga
Tricky winger Djeidi Gassama has frequently been the bright spark for the Gers, and he looked on top form under the European lights.
In the 21st minute, the Frenchman knocked the ball around Braga defender Sikou Niakate, as the pitch opened up in front of him.
However, the Malian opted to block the speedster on the halfway line, arguably preventing what could’ve been a promising attack.

Lindhout should’ve brandished a yellow card for what was an obvious attempt to slow down the Rangers attack.
Gassama involved once again for Rangers as penalty should’ve been awarded
The former Sheffield Wednesday man was fully involved in much of the first half’s action as he terrorised the Braga backline.
In the 37th minute, an excellent ball was chipped in by Connor Barron into the box as Gassama leapt to win the header.
As he made contact with the ball, the retreating Gabriel Martinez slipped when trying to stop the Frenchman, nicking him on the ankle.
VAR did check the altercation and decided the referee’s on-field decision of no penalty was correct, yet the Teddy Bears would’ve felt aggrieved not to have been awarded a spot-kick.
