Three Liverpool senior stars expected to exit after Fabio Carvalho reveal – pundit

Paul Robinson expects Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi to leave Liverpool this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one suggested Fabio Carvalho has been signed to fill the “hole” the trio will leave at Anfield.

On Monday (25 May), the Reds announced that Fulham attacker Fabio Carvalho will join the club on 1 July.

The 19-year-old has agreed a five-year contract on Merseyside.

According to the Mirror‘s David Maddock (24 May), the attacking midfielder will go straight into Jurgen Klopp’s first team next season.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs if the signing hinted at potential exits from Anfield this summer, Robinson said: “Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino and Origi are the three I think will leave.

“Minamino nearly joined Leeds in January but the deal never went through.

“It sounds like Origi is a done deal.

“Those three will leave a big whole in Liverpool’s squad. A hole that needs to be filled.

“It is an area they will look to rejuvenate in. That is what Klopp and Guardiola are good at, rejuvenating.

“That Liverpool squad needs freshening and Carvalho will do that.”

Carvalho excelled this season in a Fulham side which secured promotion to the Premier League.

The Portugal under-21 international contributed 11 goals and eight assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.
