Three players Tottenham could sign to replace Walker if he leaves in the summer

Kyle Walker has been a key player for Tottenham since manager Mauricio Pochettino arrived at the club in 2014.

The England international has produced great attacking displays at right-back added with his ability to provide solidity in defence.

However, the Independent now report that the 26-year-old wants to leave after a row with Pochettino over his fitness, selection and performances.

Here, Football Insider names which three players Tottenham could sign to replace Walker if he leaves.

Djibril Sidibe – The 24-year-old is currently playing for French side Monaco where his team have reached the semi-finals of the Champions League. He has been part of a team that has scored over 100 goals in all competitions this season and a big factor behind that has been their full-backs. Although it would be difficult to sign Sidibe, his signing would show ambition by Tottenham because of the quality he can bring. Powerful and skillful in the final third, he would suit Pochettino’s style of play.

Dani Alves – Experinced and a three-time Champions League winner. Signing Alves would show real intent by Spurs. They are playing Champions League football and edging closer to winning the Premier League title. At, 33, Alves wouldn’t be a signing for the future but a signing that could help the north London club go to that next level. However, it would be very difficult to prize him away from his current club Juventus.

Serge Aurier – Currently at Paris-Saint Germain, Aurier is a player that plays with a passion matched with a lack of discipline. The latter would put off Pochettino but if he can get the best out of the Ivory Coast international then he would have a player of real quality on his hands. Just like Alves and Sidibe, signing a player of Aurier’s quality would show real intent that Tottenham mean business.
