Three selection headaches Christiansen must solve before Leeds opener v Bolton
Start Wiedwald, or keep Green happy?
Completing a deal for German goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald has thrown former England international Rob Green’s future at Elland Road into doubt.
The Sunderland Echo claim Green, 37, could now leave Leeds and is interesting Sunderland after Christiansen brought Wiedwald into the side, with it unclear who will be given the role as number one during 2017-18.
If Christiansen wants to keep former West Ham and Norwich goalkeeper Green, he may be forced to start him over Wiedwald against Bolton.
However, after starring in Werder Bremen’s pursuit of Europa League qualification last season, Wiedwald must be given the nod over Green.
