Three Rangers players fighting for their futures after horror winters
Fabio Cardoso
Portuguese defender was a mainstay under Pedro Caixinha but has fallen completely out of the picture under Murty.
Cardoso has made a couple of brief appearances since Murty took the reins in October but now finds himself behind David Bates, Russell Martin, Ross McCrorie and Bruno Alves for a first-team place.
The former Vitoria Setubal defender is unlikely to find a first-team place any easier to come by as the season goes on with Alves desperate to win a World Cup place while Bates and Martin are playing to earn a contract beyond the end of the season.
Despite not being anywhere near as bad as made out at time, Cardoso’s time at Ibrox already looks like it’s up and it’s unlikely to get any better for him before the end of the season.
