Portuguese international Bruno Alves has been disappointing since his summer move from Cagliari but it’s not necessarily his own form that could keep him out of the starting XI.
While Alves has struggled to get going – and, like Pena, looks a bit shocked by how physical Scottish football is – it’s the form of McCrorie and Wilson that could see him stuck on the bench.
McCrorie and Wilson have barely put a foot wrong in the last two games and it would be a bit unfair on either for them to be dropped to re-introduce Alves – regardless of Alves’ form – for the clash with Hamilton.
