Three replacements Tottenham are considering amid Yves Bissouma decision

Tottenham are exploring moves for three midfielders after making a decision on the future of Yves Bissouma.

It was exclusively revealed by Football Insider that Bissouma is “likely” to leave the club this summer after three seasons in North London.

The 28-year-old joined the club from Brighton and started their Europa League triumph over Manchester United.

New manager Thomas Frank though wants to rebuild his squad this summer and could look at the following three players in midfield.

Conor Gallagher is well accustomed to the Premier League following his years at Chelsea and he is now over in Spain with Atletico Madrid.

The 25-year-old is not a regular starter under Diego Simeone and after only one season, Gallagher could return to the Premier League.

An asking price has been set at £40million and Gallagher also has interest from Aston Villa and Newcastle.

A defensive minded midfielder, Gallagher would help protect Spurs’ back four and would not be added for his goals or creativity and Joao Palhinha has recently joined on loan from Bayern Munich to fulfil that role.

Move for Manchester United talent

Since his breakthrough season at Manchester United, Kobbie Mainoo’s potential has gone under the radar at Old Trafford due to a dip in form.

Mainoo faces competition to cement a position in Ruben Amorim’s starting line-up, and Man Untied are close to signing Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez.

Tottenham could tempt the 20-year-old into a move, with Champions League football one advantage Spurs have over United, although his price tag may be up to £70m.

Amorim may welcome the sale as he looks to rebuild the United squad this summer.

Sign a Crystal Palace star

Adam Wharton has only been at Crystal Palace for 18 months, but already the 21 year olds performances have attracted suitors.

A regular in the Palace midfield, the South London club have placed a £100m valuation on Wharton which could put Spurs off with cheaper alternatives elsewhere.

Wharton though has taken from moving to the Premier League from the Championship effortlessly, which has also earned himself a senior England cap.

A box-to-box energetic style, Wharton would cover the pitch well and be an excellent addition to Frank’s Spurs team.
