£3m player rotting away: Three Celtic fringe players who must start v Partick
COMMENT
Celtic head into their upcoming match against Partick Thistle on Wednesday aiming to bounce-back from the 4-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle which ended their unbeaten run at 69 games.
Whilst normally a defeat would maybe prompt a few changes to a side, the emphatic nature of the defeat must leave Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers wanting to make as many changes as possible to his side for the match against the club that is bottom of the Scottish Premiership table.
It seems highly likely that changes will be made in defence, where Celtic have been struggling recently.
Craig Gordon, Jozo Simunovic and Dedryck Boyata all came in for huge criticism after the match against Hearts and could see themselves hooked by the boss.
The Hoops midfield is also an issue as the Bhoys couldn’t create chances against a packed Hearts defence.
Here, Football Insider looks at three fringe players who need more chances in the first-team and must start against the Jags.
