It’s great to see academy products getting into the first-team, but just a couple of months after spending £1.5million on De Bock it’s just baffling.
Heckingbottom has used the excuse of not having enough home-grown players in the squad to explain De Bock’s omission in the past, but surely that want appease fans, who are being proven correct time and time again about Victor Orta’s recruitment.
