Mainstay must be axed ahead of Old Firm: Three things learned from Celtic win v Aberdeen
BOYATA MUST BE AXED
Dedryck Boyata’s recent run of poor form continued, as he almost gifted Aberdeen the opening goal after being robbed by Gary Mackay-Steven.
The mistake didn’t prove costly, but the player seems totally bereft of confidence at the moment.
Already 19-year-old Kristoffer Ajer looks to be the defender in better form between the two of them.
It seems likely that when new signing Marvin Compper joins the squad in January he will be one of the two centre-halves in the team, and Boyata may well be left on the bench.
It’s about time Rodgers decided to axe the Belgian mainstay from his side, especially with an Old Firm clash against Rangers on the horizon next week.
