Stuart Armstrong’s first-half strike gave Brendan Rodgers’ side a 1-0 lead after 35 minutes before Kieran Tierney doubled Celtic’s lead in the second-half.
It was far from a top performance from the Hoops as they got back to winning ways after their first defeat since May 2016 but the champions picked up the three points.
The win extends the Hoops’ lead over Aberdeen at the top of the Scottish Premiership to six points ahead of facing Derek McInnes side on Saturday.
