It was an unfortunate day for Griffiths, who put the Hoops into the lead with his second goal in two games, but then suffered another calf injury and was substituted.
The 27-year-old finally looked to have reestablished himself as the number one striker at the Hoops, but now it looks as if he will be out injured for a while.
It will be interesting to see if the injury prompts Brendan Rodgers to go into the transfer market to bring in another striker.
