Senior player must be binned in summer: Three things learned about Leeds in win v Brentford
PATIENCE IS KEY WITH WIEDWALD
Wiedwald has come in for a lot of criticism since he was signed by Leeds in the summer from Werder Bremen, replacing Rob Green as the number one choice shot-stopper at Elland Road.
The German goalkeeper has had his blunders and may still be short of confidence after Thomas Christiansen dropped him for a brief period earlier in the season for Andy Lonergan.
But against Brentford, Wiedwald was in top form, making a number of good saves to deny the away side’s attack.
Talk of him being dropped for Lonergan or an Under-23s goalkeeper is ridiculous.
