Heckingbottom was 100 per cent correct to not start Saiz against Derby.
The Spanish playmaker was available for the first time in almost two months after serving the final game of his six-match ban in the draw against Bristol City on Sunday.
Saiz was available to play but it came as quite a shock to fans when Heckingbottom left him on the bench.
His late introduction off the bench added more urgency to the Leeds side and Saiz could have been lacking match fitness after missing so much football in January and February.
Saiz’s dribbling ability before assisting Alioski’s goal was a thing of absolute beauty.
