It was about time a little bit of luck fell Newcastle’s way.
Aside from the convincing win at home to West Ham, the Magpies have had to grind out results and have seen decisions fall against them from the officials.
However it was Rafael Benitez’s side who found lady luck looking their way, with Joselu’s equaliser fortuitously deflected of his leg and into the net by a tackle from Liverpool’s Joel Matip.
Not every goal can be a stunner like Coutinho’s, but they all count, and the Newcastle fans will not mind one bit about Joselu’s.
