Fringe player deserves spot in XI: Three things we learned about Rangers in win v Partick
COMMENT By James Black
Rangers strolled to a 3-0 win over Partick Thistle at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday to close the gap on second-place Aberdeen to three points.
Goals from Ross McCrorie, Daniel Candeias and Josh Windass had the Gers cruising against Alan Archibald’s side as they kept up their 100 per cent record under interim boss Graeme Murty.
The Light Blues were excellent in the first-half before taking their foot off the gas following Windass making it 3-0 two minutes into the second-half.
Rangers fielded an unchanged side from the 3-1 win over Hearts with McCrorie and Danny Wilson remaining in central defence – forcing Portugal international Bruno Alves to sit on the bench.
With a fortnight until the Gers return to action, it’s likely Rangers will have a new manager in place when they take to the field against Hamilton on November 18th.
