Fringe player deserves spot in XI: Three things we learned about Rangers in win v Partick

Graeme Murty has earned a spot on the shortlist to replace Caixinha

Rangers

Murty has been a massive success with Rangers Under-20’s since moving north last August and has impressed in his two stints as interim boss.

When Caixinha was appointed in March, Murty happily stepped back down to the Under-20’s before being handed the first-team reigns for a second time last week.

With all manner of names being linked with the job, the interim boss deserves to be in the conversation after two comfortable wins in his two games in charge this time around.

The 42-year-old still has some major question marks over his capablitities as a manager but ultimately, he is doing exactly what any permanent appointment would be expected to do – win games.

In other Rangers news, an Ibrox legend was delighted to see Kenny Miller back in the starting XI.
