Awful star must be axed: Three things learned about Tottenham in clash v Leicester

Pochettino’s plan backfired

Mauricio Pochettino chose to make changes to his side following the 1-1 draw with West Brom, but oh how they came back to bite him.

Serge Aurier and Danny Rose, who were replacing the ever dependable Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies on either flank of defence, were both caught out for Leicester’s first half strikes, and it might well make the manager’s future team selections a little easier.

Mousa Sissoko and Moussa Dembele were both unable to stamp their authority in the centre of the park, which meant that Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen were starved of the ball.
