As shown throughout the season, Newcastle can be a potent threat from set plays, and it has been evident in the last two matches, Mo Diame scoring from a corner against Crystal Palace and Jonjo Shelvey’s free kick leading to Ritchie’s strike against Manchester United.
However, it is at the other end of the pitch where the Magpies need to be wary, with 11 of Bournemouth’s 31 goals coming from a set piece.
Benitez will have to ensure his players are well organised and prepared for what the Cherries might throw at them from dead ball situations, and if they can manage that, then they could well have a good chance of securing victory.
