Christiansen must axe 25-year-old: Three things we learned from Leeds in win v Barnsley

Saiz stars again

Samuel Saiz has been the standout performer for Leeds United this season, even when the side have not been playing well, and he produced another man-of-the-match display in the Yorkshire derby.

The Spaniard was a constant threat throughout the 90 minutes at Oakwell and put his side ahead midway through the first half with his ninth goal of the season in all competitions.

His his pace and his dangerous runs from midfield caused the Barnsley defenders all sorts of problems. He was full of confidence and energy and was at the heart of every Leeds attack.

Boss Thomas Christiansen will be hoping he can keep this form going throughout the season as we enter the crucial winter period.
