It could prove just to be a case of needing some time to properly gel but watching Murty’s side against Ross County left the impression Rangers still lack something.
They aren’t conceding many goals and have a few players in the side who can do the business at the other end of the pitch so it isn’t something that is glaringly obvious but there is one piece missing in the jigsaw being put together by Murty and director of football Mark Allen.
With the likes of Jason Cummings and Greg Docherty still to make their first start for the Light Blues, it could be that Rangers have already got that missing piece in their ranks.
