Three Tottenham players facing axe vs Newcastle after what they did vs Fulham
Tottenham have to put their dismal 2-1 defeat to Fulham behind them quickly as they prepare for a tough midweek trip to the north-east to face Newcastle.
Tottenham‘s recent displays have raised concerns that Thomas Frank is not the right man to lead the club forward just a few months after his arrival from Brentford, amid growing mutiny from their fans at the team’s results and style of play.
Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Fulham on Saturday (30 November) after two quickfire early goals from their capital rivals capped off a dismal week that included heavy losses to both Arsenal and PSG.
Football Insider have since revealed that Tottenham chiefs are set to stick with Frank despite not winning in the Premier League since 26 October.
Their results clearly need to improve soon or he will be sacked regardless, and Football Insider have picked out three players who Frank should drop from his starting eleven against Newcastle on Tuesday (2 December) with three points vital to their season.

Richarlison
Tottenham have struggled for goals this season, which is why it may come as a surprise to see Richarlison included here considering his recent scoring form.
The Brazil striker has netted six goals in 21 games so far, but a shift in formation and tactics from the Fulham clash should see him start on the bench at St James’ Park after he started up-front with Randal Kolo-Muani on Saturday.
Kolo-Muani has impressed for Tottenham recently and is more of a well-rounded striker who can lead the line by himself, and so with Frank likely to only play one of him or Richarlison, it is the Brazilian who deserves a rest from the off in midweek.
Destiny Udogie
There has been a battle between Destiny Udogie and Djed Spence to start at left-back this season, with Pedro Porro regularly picked on the right ahead of the England international.
Udogie was given the nod over Spence against Fulham after being on the bench against PSG, but the Italy defender struggled as he was booked and won just two of his seven attempted duels.

Spence started against PSG last week and will now be well-rested for this game, which Frank has surely identified as one for him to start in considering his fitness and better defensive qualities.
Kevin Danso
Kevin Danso was handed his fifth league start against Fulham due to captain Cristian Romero being suspended for picking up his fifth booking in the Premier League this term against Arsenal.

The Austrian centre-back was not one of Spurs’ worst performers against the Cottagers, as he won eight of his 12 aerial duels, but he is much more likely to drop out of the starting line up for the returning Romero than Micky van de Ven.
Romero is Tottenham’s captain and one of the best centre-backs in the league, so unless Frank sees fit to shift his formation to a back-five and incorporate all three of the aforementioned defenders, Danso seems set to be on the bench in Newcastle on Tuesday evening.
