Ronald Koeman has reportedly urged his Everton board to complete a deal for Swansea playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson this summer, but it remains unclear how he would fit into Everton’s side.

The Sun claim Dutch manager Koeman has told his board in no uncertain terms that they must complete a deal to sign the 27-year-old, despite having two bids rejected.

It is said that Paul Clement’s Swansea have most recently knocked back a bid worth a huge £45million for the Iceland international, as the Welsh club hold out for £50million.

In another report from the tabloid newspaper, they claimed on their website that fellow playmaker Ross Barkley had played his last game for the Toffees with Sigurdsson set to replace him.
