The Zenit right-back struggled when up against the pace of James Forrest, and was eventually booked for a foul on Charly Musonda in the second-half when he came on.
He seemed to have a difficult time dealing with Forrest’s directness and the trickery of Musonda, who could prove to be a key man off the bench in the second leg.
The 29-year-old is certainly a player that the Hoops should be looking to get at, as he looks like a bit of a weak link in the Zenit back-line.
If the Bhoys manage to expose the Russia international on Thursday then they will storm to a victory.
