Tijjani Reijnders could leave Man City as Serie A giants race to agree deal
Tijjani Reijnders is attracting interest from a number of top clubs in Serie A in case he is allowed to leave Manchester City, sources have told Football Insider.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a strong spell with AC Milan before his £46.3million move to the Etihad last summer, and could return after just one year in England.
Having dropped out of Pep Guardiola’s starting XI in recent months, there have been suggestions he could move on in search of more regular playing time.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, clubs in Italy including the likes of Juventus are keeping a close eye on Reijnders’ situation.
Should he be allowed to leave the Etihad this summer, ahead of another busy transfer window for Man City, they are expected to be among the leading contenders.

Former financial adviser Stefan Borson told Football Insider last month that Reijnders could be allowed to leave Man City as part of a summer overhaul.
Guardiola is eyeing major changes to his squad despite having made big signings last summer and during the January window, and players could be let go to make room for incoming deals.

Reijnders could be among those on the chopping block this summer, placing clubs on alert, although there are doubts about whether City will be keen to let him go.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “Tijjani Reijnders will have a number of suitors because he’s a top quality player.
“He made quite an encouraging start to life at Man City when he joined from AC Milan, he was starting regularly, but since the turn of the year he’s not featured as regularly.
“He will play a key role for City between now and the end of the season as they look to go on and complete a domestic treble.
“Reijnders is still very highly rated in Italy, he had a great season with Milan before his move to Man City.
“There are a lot of the top Itlian clubs, Juventus and the rest, keeping a close eye on his situation at Man City as well in case he becomes available.”
Could Reijnders stay at Man City this summer?
Despite increased speculation about clubs interested in signing the midfielder, there is a strong chance he will remain at the Etihad, with a move unlikely as things stand.
Football Insider revealed on 1 May that Man City want to keep Reijnders beyond the end of the season as he continues to adapt to Premier League football.

Guardiola’s sporadic use of the midfielder is something he has done in the past to help players adapt, and it is likely he will play an increased role next season.
Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva’s imminent departure is set to hand his fellow midfielder more first-team opportunities, as he is set to leave upon the expiry of his contract.
City are keen to keep their depth options in the squad as a result as they aim to replace their outgoing stars, with Reijnders likely to be convinced to stay.
