West Ham and Fulham are both thought to be on alert over Timo Werner’s situation as a new update emerges on the German’s spell at Tottenham.
The 29-year-old has failed to stamp his mark in England, scoring just three goals in 41 appearances, attempting to prove himself after a poor ending to his time with Chelsea in 2022.
Ange Postecoglou, who is under serious pressure from Tottenham fans, was a massive fan of the German forward during the first few weeks of the season, but the player has not featured since February.
Despite this, there is no denying the striker’s record in Germany, boasting 113 goals across two different spells with Leipzig, which is clearly why there is still interest in him ahead of the summer transfer window.
With Graham Potter already planning a rebuild at the London Stadium, it seems clear why the Hammers would be one of two teams paying attention to Werner’s situation in North London.

The German has played just 70 minutes of Premier League football for Spurs since December, suggesting that he simply has no future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Lilywhites have indeed reportedly notified RB Leipzig of their decision not to trigger the £8.5million permanent clause in his contract, which is said to have alerted both West Ham and Fulham to his availability this summer.

Werner has shown the world exactly what he is capable of, not just in the Bundesliga but also in the Champions League and for the German national team over the years.
With Raul Jiminez and Rodrigo Muniz likely to be available for next season, a move to the London Stadium might make far more sense for the adaptable forward.
While he does not quite match Potter’s playing style, his quick pace, hard work in the final third, and jinking runs could be exactly what the Hammers need to work off Niclas Fullkrug.

Fullkrug’s time at West Ham has not been the smoothest of rides, but with Jarrod Bowen supporting him in attack, the German has slowly found his feet in the Premier League and is earning the fans’ respect.
It is understood that Mohammed Kudus has been linked with a move to Liverpool, and if the Irons were to cash in this summer, having Werner on the bench for a small fee could be a solid deal.
